Awarded to the PGY1-3 who is in good academic standing, demonstrates initiative and contributions towards non-clinical administrative components of the PMR residency program and demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities

Alberta Jenkinson & Stephen Buhl Award 2010-2011
Awarded annually to residents within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Recipients are selected on the basis of qualities of leadership and collegiality and contributions made to the well-being of other residents. Recipients must be seen as role models on the basis of their ability to contribute towards a pleasant and productive learning environment for other residents.

CaPM&R Review Course Teaching Award 2010
Every two years a Canada wide review course is held to help senior residents prepare for writing their fellowship exam. Teaching awards are voted on by residents attending the course and recognize doctors who have done an extraordinary job of presenting material in their field of expertise.

The Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Awards are sponsored by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation to honor residents, chosen by the students they teach who have exhibited particularly strong teaching skills and are role models for compassionate, relationship-centered care. Despite grueling schedules, these residents have made exemplary efforts to ensure that their students learn both the science and the art of medicine.
